Long-term vision

Forest first. A village, later.

A village is a long way off. Long-term vision

We would like to build a village here one day, where people can live, work, grow food and look after the forest. We don’t know yet what it would look like.

The idea is a place where people can do real work and still be close to the forest. We would build slowly, and only once the forest recovery is going well.

Things we want to explore Long-term vision

Homes

Simple, durable buildings suited to the heat and the rains.

Food

Growing some food alongside the forest, not in place of it.

Water

Collecting and keeping water through the wet and dry seasons.

Energy

Solar and other ways to power daily life and work.

Connectivity

An internet connection good enough to do real work from here.

Community

Who would live here, how decisions get made, and how we work with our neighbours.

Learning

Sharing what we learn about the land, and learning from people who know it better.
